About Us
Hi there, and welcome to Road Most Traveled!
We’re so happy you decided to stop by. We are Ashlea and Michael, a married couple who love the outdoors: camping, hiking, snowshoeing, biking – you name it, we’re willing to try it. Our home base is Metro Detroit, where Michael is an engineering program manager, and Ashlea stays home with our 3-year-old son. Road Most Traveled is an outlet for our passions of the outdoors and photography.
About Michael
Michael is the clever cameraman, always making sure to capture the perfect shot. He always makes sure they are heading the right way on a trail, will pack on the extra weight when the toddler gets too tired, and will capture every precious moment on his camera. Outside of photography, Michael enjoys watching Premier League Football and reading science fiction novels.
About Ashlea
Ashlea is the brains behind the keyboard, running the blog and socials. She is generally the planner of all the trips, making sure places to stay are booked, activities are planned, and everyone is well fed. When not planning trips or blogging about them, Ashlea can probably be found cooking, baking, or reading, and is probably listening to Taylor Swift.
